RUSSIAN CENTER OF FORENSIC MEDICAL EXPERTISE PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING KINDS OF SCIENTIFIC, METHODICAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY:

The CENTER carries out the following kinds of activity:

• Providing scientific and methodical support of forensic medical expertise in the Russian Federation;

• Training and improving professional skills of forensic experts;

• Developing normative documents, regulating activity of the state forensic expert establishments;

• Participating in certification the forensic staff;

• Organizing, planning and coordinating scientific research in the field of forensic medicine, forensic chemistry and forensic genetics;

• Preparing and improving new medical technologies;

• Providing the advisory help to forensic expert establishments and law enforcement bodies of the Russian Federation, lawyers;

• Interacting with establishments of public health services and other departments on preparation and carrying out the actions directed on improvement health services of population;

• Carrying out scientifically-practical conferences, congresses, symposiums, meetings on improvement forensic expert research;

• Establishing international contacts, carrying out joint scientific and expert research;

• Providing practical and highly technological expert activity;

In the scientific and the expert departments of the Center work well-known scientists - forensic physicians, highly skilled experts - forensic experts, and also representatives of related subjects (genetics, biologists, chemists, toxicologists, physicists, mathematicians, criminalists, etc.), implementing all kinds of modern expert research.

The scientists of the Center have received the significant scientific results in the field of genetics, immunologic, medical criminalistic identifications of person, diagnostics of alcoholic and narcotic intoxications, etc.
